Ordering branded tennis bags for a club sounds simple until you have to pick a number. Order too few and you’re paying setup and shipping twice; order too many and boxes sit in a storage closet. The good news is that a club’s bag count follows a predictable pattern once you break it into groups.

Here’s the framework we walk clients through, plus a worked example you can copy.

Start with your four groups

Almost every club order breaks into four buckets: traveling team players who need a matching bag, active members who might buy one, pro-shop retail stock, and a spare allowance for new members and replacements. Estimate each separately and add them up.

A worked example

Say you run a club with 300 active members and a 20-player competitive squad. Squad bags: 20. Member opt-in at 15%: about 45. Retail stock for the first month: 20. Add a 10% spare buffer on the ~85 subtotal: roughly 9. That lands you near 95 bags — so you’d order 100 to keep a round number and a few extra.

Notice that 100 comfortably clears our 25-bag minimum and pushes you into better per-unit pricing, which is part of why batching groups together beats ordering for one team at a time.

Mixing styles in one order

You don’t have to order all one style. A common split is racquet bags for the squad, backpacks for juniors, and a few duffels for coaches — all in one purchase order, all counting toward the same volume pricing. We keep your artwork on file so every style carries the same logo treatment.
